Directions and Location
Two Mile Ranch is located between Des Moines, Iowa and Kansas City Missouri, near Interstate 35.
Visitors may drive via I-35; fly into Kansas City or Des Moines airports, or AMTRAK passengers may be met at Osceola, Iowa
Reservations: Weekly, 52 weeks a year $995.00 per week $599 per week if reserved prior to September 1
Check in check out: Sunday at Noon through Saturday at noon (Central Time Zone)
Bed: Single bed bed linens and towels provided (feel free to bring your own if you like)
Kitchen: 6 burner commercial stove and oven, refrigerator, pans and basic kitchen utensils (microwave and enough freezer space for a week’s supply of Lean Cuisine)
Furnishings: Writing desk, chairs, dining / project table, outdoor furniture
Deposit: 50% due with reservation, 50% due 30 days prior arrival
I need a couple of house rules to make your stay comfortable and safe:
Housekeeping services: I want you to have privacy and the ability to work on your own schedule, so there is no daily housekeeping, bed making, or cleaning service. It helps us all out a lot if you have the loft, kitchen and bathroom clean on your departure.
Smoke free – no smoking inside the retreat at any time. And please, no open flames, incense, or candles. We’re near a small town and I’m on the volunteer fire department, but by the time I drive to town and get the fire truck, chances are your writing project is lost in the flames.
